PM Vishwakarma Eligibility Criteria 2025
The Pradhan Mantri Vishwakarma Yojana’s purpose is to uplift traditional artisans and craftsmen by providing financial and skill-based support. The yojna focuses on people engaged in family-based traditional professions within the disorganized sector. Below are the eligibility criteria and the fields covered under the yojna:
Eligible Occupations (18 Eligible Trade List)
To qualify, the applicant must belong to one of the following 18 traditional skills and trades:
- Carpenter
- Boat Maker
- Garland Maker
- Washerman
- Tailor
- Hammer and Tool Kit Maker
- Locksmith
- Goldsmith
- Potter
- Fishing Net Maker
- Armor Maker
- Barber
- Lohar (Blacksmith)
- Cobblers/Shoemakers/Footwear Artisans
- Mason
- Basket Maker/Basket Weaver/Mat Maker/Coir Weaver/Broom Maker
- Doll and Toy Maker (Traditional)
- Sculptor/Stone Carver/Stone Breaker
Eligibility Criteria
- The applicant must be at least 18 years old for registration.
- The applicant must be actively interested in one of the eligible trades at the time of registration.
- The applicant should not have benefited from loans under similar credit-based schemes from either the Regional or central Government in the last 5 years.
- Only 1 member of each family can register and benefit under the scheme.
- People working in government assistance and their family members are not eligible.
